About Us

Who We Are

Faith Church is a local body of believers rooted in the historic reformed tradition.

We are a local congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church denomination, which prioritizes the Scriptures as its primary standard and the Westminster Confession of Faith as its secondary standard.

Above all, our goal is to preach, teach, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is the incredible story of God coming in the person of Jesus and rescuing his people from their rebellion and idolatry.  It is the good news of God pursuing us and loving us at the cost of his own son!  Jesus died on the cross to satisfy God’s righteous anger and offers us instead his perfect life of obedience. Those saved by his blood live to glorify and worship Jesus who is risen and rules all things.

What We Believe

Faith Orthodox Presbyterian Church is committed to teaching and preaching Christ, and him crucified, as revealed in the divinely-inspired Scriptures.

We believe that the Bible, in its entirety, is God’s infallible word; in the Triune God, creator of heaven and earth; that Jesus Christ is God; in the virgin birth of Jesus and in His miracles, His substitutionary atonement on the cross, His bodily resurrection, and His glorious personal coming again. As a summation of the doctrines taught in the Bible, we subscribe to historic reformed creeds and confessions, namely those of the Apostles’ Creed, Nicene Creed, and the Westminster Confession of Faith.

In many ways, our name reflects what we believe.  As an Orthodox Presbyterian Church, we are orthodox in our doctrine, presbyterian in our polity (governance), and a local manifestation of the church of Christ, called by the grace of God out of every nation and race of humanity.

Worship at Faith

Why We Worship

Our highest purpose in life is to worship God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Rev. 5:9-10). While the whole of the Christian life is one of worship to God (Rom. 12:1-2, I Cor. 10:31), the Lord has specifically called us to gather corporately to worship Him on the first day of the week, the Lord’s Day (Acts 20:7; Rev. 1:10; Heb, 10:19-25). This is the high point of life at Faith Church. Each and every time the Lord’s people gather on His day, they are given a foretaste of the glorious eternal rest that awaits them in heaven (Heb. 4:9).

How We Worship

Because of who God is as Creator and Redeemer, worship that is pleasing to Him must be in accordance with His Word (Deut. 12:32; Col. 2:23). In order to honor the Lord in worship, we seek to conduct worship in a manner corresponding with how God, in His Word, has revealed he wants to be worshipped. The primary elements of the worship service at Faith Church are the singing of psalms and hymns, prayers unto God, the reading of Scripture, the giving of offerings to the Lord, the preaching of God’s Word, and the regular partaking of the Lord’s Supper. These are the key elements found in the example of the early church (Acts 2:42-47, Col. 3:16; 1 Cor. 16:1).
